About Chen Huizhong

Chen Huizhong (陈慧中 / 陳慧中) is a contemporary Jian Zhan artist closely associated with the distinctive 蓝色妖姬 (Lánsè Yāojī, “Blue Enchantress”) series.

Reliable published biographical information about Chen remains limited. His work, however, is documented through surviving pieces, collector and retail records, and a registered Chinese design patent connected directly to the Blue Enchantress tea bowl.

Because detailed personal biography is not yet independently documented, this profile focuses on identifiable works and verifiable records rather than repeating unsupported background claims.

蓝色妖姬 · Blue Enchantress

Chen Huizhong is especially associated with 蓝色妖姬, a visually dramatic Jian Zhan design characterized by luminous blue, violet, and iridescent effects over a dark ground.

Chinese design patent CN309829952S documents 茶盏（蓝色妖姬）, or “Tea Bowl (Blue Enchantress),” and identifies 陈慧中 as the inventor and original assignee.

The registered design focuses on the combination of the bowl’s shape, pattern, and color.

Documented Examples

Independent sellers and Jian Zhan specialists repeatedly attribute Blue Enchantress pieces to Chen Huizhong.

Examples associated with the series show blue, violet, and metallic glaze effects with oil-drop, cellular, and scale-like patterning across several vessel forms.

Commercial descriptions are useful for documenting surviving examples and attribution, but claims about titles, awards, or personal biography are treated cautiously unless they can be supported by stronger records.
