Fu Zhiqiang is an original Jian Zhan carving artisan known for bringing hand-carved sculptural detail into the world of Jian ware.

From childhood, he inherited his family’s artistic traditions and developed a deep foundation in Buddhist statue carving, clay sculpture, and root carving. Through years of practice, he built a strong and disciplined carving skill set.

Entering the World of Jian Zhan

In 2021, Fu Zhiqiang began focusing deeply on Jian Zhan. His work centers on pure hand carving, especially on the surface and base of Jian ware cups.

Using the carving knife like a brush, he creates figures, relief designs, and cultural motifs directly on the body of the cup. His work breaks away from the more traditional single-form presentation of Jian Zhan, giving each piece a stronger sense of depth, texture, and visual storytelling.

Artistic Style

Fu Zhiqiang insists on original, handmade creation. Through carving, he gives tea vessels a sculptural quality and a deeper humanistic atmosphere.

自幼承袭家学，深耕佛像造像、泥塑与根雕，练就扎实雕刻功底。

2021年深耕建盏领域，专注盏面、盏底纯手工雕刻。以刀作画，在盏身雕琢造像、浮雕与人文纹饰，打破传统建盏单一呈现形式。

坚持原创匠心创作，以雕刻赋能茶盏，赋予器物立体质感与人文意境，形成独树一帜的建盏雕刻艺术风格。
