银花, translated as Silver Flower, is a known Ding Yinhong work represented in the FSOC collection.
The bowl has a deep dark ground covered with large rounded markings that open across the interior almost like overlapping petals. Metallic silver is the strongest impression, but the surface becomes much more colorful under changing light, revealing blue, violet, gold, and green-toned reflections.
The result is particularly lively in motion. Rather than presenting one fixed color, the glaze changes character as the bowl is turned, making lighting an important part of how the piece is experienced.
