Xu Changhe
徐长和Zhentouling 枕头岭 · dragon-kiln Jian Zhan · student of Sun Fukun
Biography
Xu Changhe (徐长和), born in 1975 in Shuiji, Jianyang, is a contemporary Jian Zhan artist whose career is closely connected with Sun Fukun (孙福昆) and the Luhuaping tradition. Published biography records that Xu studied at Luhuaping under Sun Fukun from approximately 2008 through 2015 before developing his own practice.
Zhentouling · 枕头岭
Official professional-title records connect Xu Changhe with Nanping Jianyang Zhentouling Jian Zhan Ceramics Co., Ltd. (南平市建阳区枕头岭建盏陶瓷有限公司). Official records identify the company and workshop association as Zhentouling 枕头岭.
Dragon-Kiln Practice
After his years of study at Luhuaping, Xu increasingly focused on traditional dragon-kiln wood firing. Published profiles associate his work with rabbit-hair surfaces, tea-dust green, ash-covered glaze effects and other kiln-dependent Jian surfaces in which flame, ash and atmosphere contribute directly to the finished piece.
Recognition
Jianyang government material lists Xu Changhe among Fujian Provincial Arts & Crafts Masters. Professional-title records also document his advanced arts-and-crafts qualification and provide an official institutional link to the Zhentouling company.
Identification
Because Xu’s work spans multiple wood-fired glaze families, identification should rely on the maker mark, body, foot, certificate and workshop documentation together rather than glaze color alone.
