Luo Renrong
罗仁荣Jian Zhan artist · Nanping arts-and-crafts master · contemporary glaze development
Biography
Luo Renrong (罗仁荣), born in June 1981 in Jianyang, Nanping, is a contemporary Jian Zhan ceramic artist. Professional records describe him as an arts-and-crafts artist, municipal-level arts-and-crafts master and senior technician.
He began working seriously with Jian Zhan around 2007, developing iron-rich glaze work that combines traditional Jian ware pattern families with more contemporary color and surface effects.
Studio & Practice
In 2014, Luo founded the 盏城堡 (Zhan Cheng Bao) brand. His practice includes work described as rabbit-hair, partridge-feather and other kiln-transformation surfaces, alongside independently named pieces and series.
Representative Works
A professional artist database identifies 《银沫》, 《霓虹曜影》, 《银杏》 and 《紫嫣》 as representative works. These titles reflect a practice that often treats glaze color and crystalline pattern as the main visual subject.
Recognition & Collections
His career includes later professional certifications and Nanping arts-and-crafts recognition, together with museum collection of works including silver oil-spot, black-gold hare’s-fur and gray oil-spot pieces between 2017 and 2021.
Marks & Identification
Certificates, base marks and complete vessel photographs are important when distinguishing Luo’s work from similarly named makers and from visually similar contemporary Jian Zhan.
