Biography

Lu Guoshun (卢国顺) is a Jian Zhan ceramic artist whose work is documented in contemporary market records as handmade Jian ware using an iron-rich clay body and original mineral glaze.

His career includes recognition in Chinese traditional-culture and arts-and-crafts circles, including Nanping craft honors and awards at ceramic and cultural-industry exhibitions.

Practice

Lu’s work belongs to the contemporary Jian Zhan tradition, where mineral-rich glaze, iron-bearing clay and high-temperature firing determine the final surface. The surviving work photograph is retained with the profile so that form, glaze and attribution can be considered together.

Recognition

His established biography records awards connected with the China (Dalian) International Cultural Industry Expo, Cross-Strait cultural and creative arts events, the China Arts and Crafts Expo and tea-ware competitions, together with later recognition in 2018.
