Lao Chuan
老川Jian Zhan · Jianyang, Shuiji · documented gold-surface oil-drop work
About Lao Chuan
Lao Chuan (老川) is associated in the surviving documentation with Jian Zhan from Shuiji, Jianyang. The best-documented example in the archive is a gold-toned oil-drop work identified on its collection certificate as 油滴黄金盖.
Documented Materials & Testing
The collection certificate describes the piece as an iron body with mineral glaze (铁胎、矿物釉) and gives the origin as Jianyang · Shuiji. An NGIC identification certificate supplied with the same group records surface gold (Au) on the submitted object. A separate 2019 CIC inspection report documents lead and cadmium migration testing for the submitted Jian Zhan sample.
Identification
Because these certificates relate to the specific submitted piece or sample, they should travel with the matching bowl photographs rather than be treated as blanket certification for every Lao Chuan work.
