Association President Shen Jiarong, Vice President and Secretary-General Huang Huiyao, Deputy Secretary-General Huang Ying, and Lin Yangfeng recently visited multiple Jianzhan businesses and workshops in Jianyang.

During the visits, they met directly with craftspeople, toured production and firing areas, viewed Jianzhan displays and products, and discussed the current market and challenges facing the industry.

One major concern raised by the craftspeople was the number of imitation products in the market and products being promoted or sold as “Jianzhan” when they are not actually Jianzhan.

The association is working toward:

• Better scientific classification of traditional Jianzhan, including clearer identification of glaze characteristics
• Stronger oversight of products marketed as Jianzhan, particularly through livestream sales
• A new-product registration and filing system
• Public access to product information and industry standards
• Professional technical evaluation of innovative Jianzhan
• Gradually establishing a reference system comparing genuine Jianzhan with counterfeit or imitation products

They specifically discussed that products which are not Jianzhan should not be promoted or sold under the Jianzhan name, helping prevent collectors and consumers from being misled.

The association plans to continue visiting Jianzhan businesses and gathering feedback from craftspeople while working on industry standards, product registration, information transparency, and protection of the Jian ware intangible cultural heritage.
