
Zhao Shuquan is a Master of Chinese Arts and Crafts and a nationally recognized Senior Arts and Crafts Artist. He holds the prestigious title of First-Class National Artist (Professor level) and is a member of the China Artists Association. As a renowned illustrator and painter, Zhao specializes in figure painting, ink wash, and landscape art. He is also known for his contributions to military-themed artworks and serves as a council member of the Chinese Painters Association.
In addition to his national roles, Zhao is a Master of Arts and Crafts in Jilin Province and an active member of both the Jilin Artists Association and the Jilin Calligraphers Association. He currently serves as the President of the Zhongji Dadi Academy of Calligraphy and Painting in Jilin.
Zhao is particularly acclaimed for pioneering the long-scroll ink and porcelain paintings depicting characters from China’s “Four Great Classical Novels,” setting a unique precedent in the field of traditional Chinese art.
