

About the Artist: Yang Jianping
Founder of Jujiang Zaowu · National Senior Craftsman · Cultural Heritage Inheritor
Yang Jianping is a nationally recognized master of Jianzhan ceramics and the founder of the brand Jujiang Zaowu (“Poly Craftsman · Creation”). As a representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Jian Zhan craftsmanship, he is devoted to preserving and advancing this ancient Song Dynasty art form.
Yang has earned numerous prestigious honors throughout his career. He is recognized as a National Gift Artist for the One Belt One Road initiative and is a certified Senior Arts and Crafts Artist and Senior Technician. He also serves as a reviewing judge for national vocational competitions and is a visiting professor at Fujian University of Science and Technology.
His accolades include the titles of Provincial Golden Artisan, Celebrity of Light Industry Arts in Fujian, and First-Class Folk Arts Master in the region. In 2021, he was awarded as an “Advanced Individual” in Fujian’s light industry sector. He also holds a leadership role as Executive Director of the Nanping Arts and Crafts Association.
Yang Jianping’s works are highly sought after by collectors and tea connoisseurs for their elegant forms, deep glazes, and spiritual continuity with ancient kiln traditions. His commitment to both craftsmanship and innovation has solidified his status as a leading figure in the modern revival of Jianzhan ware.
