For over a decade, Lian has specialized in the revival and firing of oil-drop partridge spot ceramics. While the traditional Song Dynasty style featured single-color patterns, Lian introduced colorful, contemporary variations through years of experimentation and artistic insight. His motto reflects his philosophy:
